I think this book can teach a litttle bit about gardening but I don't think its great. It is targeted more toward younger children so I would not recommend buying this book for your nine year old. I think a toddler would like it. Overall, I do not think everyone would like this book.

I thought this was a very cute book. It promotes traditional activities that, in my opinion, kids seem to have lost today. I am waiting to see what the next story will have for us.
