As someone who is both a man and grew up with his grandmother, this book hits on both of those points so accurately in my life experiences. This book illustrates both the current state of families and upbringing, compares it with the past and also provides solutions to reconnect our family ties. This book also captures today's man and how because of their parents and lack of a father's presence, they have missed out on the values and basic rules that now don't seem so basic. Overall, this book touches on so many family topics that as a counselor in school, I would recommend this book for all schools and parents. Great read!!
This book recaptures the basis of the solid foundation of which good men & women of the past were molded & shaped, the intrinsic values of a time gone by. (So I thought) Thank God for the insight of Beneca Ward, for she has spelled out the blueprint for generations to come. I myself am 2nd generation country, who has instilled the same, values in my 3rd generation country children, who are now raising their children the same way. Good foundations build solid human beings of good character. Solid human beings of good character build a better world. 3rd Generation Country is the foundation for building Good Human beings.
This book is a must-have for anyone raising children in times when it feels like anything and everything goes. 3RD GENERATION COUNTRY has sincerely impacted the way in which I raise my girls.
